No Android One phones are being launched by POCO.

POCO

For about two years, the Chinese tech giant has not launched any other phones in the series.

An exclusive interview was published this morning by Android Central with two executives of the POCO Global team. The story discussed the brand’s next smartphone, the POCO M3 Pro 5G, and its future plans.

The POCO brand representative stated to the interviewer that the company has no plans to launch Android One smartphones at this time. It’s been estimated that you’ll have to wait sometime for POCO phones with better hardware and affordable Android stock.

The only way to get stock Android on POCO smartphones is to use custom ROMs. However, this solution is only available to a limited number of users.

Xiaomi was the only company offering good Android stock hardware through its Mi A series Android One smartphones. Stock Android phones from Motorola and Nokia are still offering mediocre hardware for the same price.

POCO is playing it safe by sticking with MIUI for POCO rather than developing a separate software that didn’t work for Xiaomi.
